Walk-A-Thon: Thank you all you came out to support our school last Friday! What a fun time.
Walk-A-Thon
2018!! Our community came together on Friday for another fantastic
Walk-A-Thon! Thank you to all of the volunteers who made it possible --
the parents who recorded and counted laps, donned crazy costumes,
decorated the track, distributed water, cheered and cleaned up after the
event. A special thanks to our emcees Pablo Serrano and Anthony
Moseley, who kept everyone energized; Mrs. O'Malley, who had the
brilliant idea of "buddy" classrooms cheering each other; Marianne
Morgan, whose photos capture the spirit and excitement of the day and
are featured below; and the SuperStore students, who designed a special
t-shirt that will be given to each member of the classroom that walked
the most laps!
We've extended the deadline for students to submit final pledge forms, either online or
hard copy, to close of business on Monday, Nov. 5, since the original
deadline of Fri., Nov. 2 is a school holiday. We are currently a little
more than halfway to meeting our goal, but need every student to submit
their pledges to make sure we meet -- and even -- exceed our goal! If
you have any questions, please contact Karen Hobbs, haashobbs@gmail.com or Shannon Pokornik, skinnernorthwellness@gmail.com
International Fest
October 9, 2018

Save the Date for Skinner North’s International Fest: Friday, November 9 from 4-6:30. Come
celebrate the incredible cultural diversity of our Skinner North
families and communities. We will have country/culture tables in the gym
and student performances in the auditorium - plus a few surprises! Sign
up by October 19 to represent your country/culture or for your child to present a short cultural performance (3-5
minutes). We usually have a huge turnout for this event and need your
help to make it a success! If you want to volunteer for the event or
would like to reach out for more information, email us at sndiversity@gmail.com.
